Tissue Salts are absorbed into the body via the blood vessels in the mouth; holding the chewed tablets in the mouth for a few seconds before swallowing is useful. For infants crush the tablet with a little water and place the paste on their tongue.

To fully understand the impact of Tissue Salts is that they regulate mineral levels rather than building mineral levels in the body. Tissue Salts do not supply the minerals the body needs but rather they help the body compensate for disturbances in the distribution and absorption of minerals during times of imbalance which are relayed as symptoms. Let’s look at this example – painful cramping of the intestinal muscles may occur when someone who is ill, even though his diet is balanced and he is receiving enough magnesium. So, why then the cramps – Dr. Schuessler named this phenomenon a “disturbance of molecular distribution’’. This means that the magnesium ions in the body are not available where they are needed. This simply means that the right tissue salt is not available where it is needed. This is why taking Mag Phos Tissue Salts is so crucial despite them only being .5mcg of mineral as it remedies the disrupted distribution of ions, so that the magnesium particles can reach the individual muscle cells and thus alleviate the cramping. If we were to take more than the dose of Magnesium thinking that taking more of the crude magnesium will remedy the pain there is a great chance of experiencing diarrhoea as the crude magnesium is extracellular food whereas the tissue salts are intracellular food creating the necessary pathways for the cells to remain supported and activated.

Choosing Comb 12 is a good starting point which includes the
12 minerals the body needs and combining all the 12 minerals into one tablet
means less lactose than the single tissue salts but both the combinations and
the single tissue salts are as effective as each other.   Dr Schuessler believed that focusing on the
condition at hand rather than trying to sort a number of imbalances was the way
to go.  For instance if you were experiencing
cramping and couldn’t sleep then taking Mag Phos and Kali Phos at least 4-6 x
or taking Comb A was more directed than taking Comb 12.

Lactose we use in the Tissue Salts will not cause cavities or tooth decay. Calc Fluor supports the formation of bones, teeth, ligaments and nails, helping them to become firm and hard. Thus, it can be said that it protects the teeth against cavities.The Tissue Salts need to be taken 4 times per day as they are micro dosed minerals and work in conjunction with foods rich in Calcium or Calcium supplements to support absorption and ensure the cells are activated to be supported with the necessary nutrition.If the lactose is still a concern to you, you may wish to look into our Tissue Salt sprays which are lactose free and I have another formula called Receding Gums which is homeopathic and has the Tissue Salt Calc Fluor added to it and is in spray form to be taken 4 times per day.

Tissue Salts are not homeopathic but are micro doses of minerals…they are prepared homeopathically but do not follow the Law of Similars.  Dr Schuessler was looking for a method to distribute these micro dose minerals into the body and found that lactose was a good carrier to ensure minerals entered the cells.  He believes the method of hand trituration that Dr Hahnemann used to prepare homeopathy was an excellent method.  Many believe that the Tissue Salts are homeopathic and they are not therefore you can touch them with your hands and have them before or after brushing your teeth. They treat physical ailments where as Homeopathic remedies treat the whole body which includes the mind and body relationship. There is a lot on the internet on Tissue Salts to support you further and it doesn’t matter if they come out of the tub just put them back in and they will not be affected. Martin & Pleasance formulated Tissue Salts in spray form to support those individuals who were lactose intolerant.  Extra note:The Tissue Salts are homeopathically prepared however, do not follow the law of Similars – “like cures like”as is in homeopathic medicine.  Dr Schuessler needed to find a method of providing the micro doses of mineral in a base that would enter the cells – therefore he found that hand trituration distributed the mineral with the lactose as a carrier to the 6X – we took it off as people simply believed they are homeopathic remedies and not Tissue Salts.  They are for physical ailments and do not take in mind - body as do homeopathic medicines.

There are 33 Tissue Salts.We have 12 single Tissue Talts, 22 Tissue Salt combinations which include the 12 single Tissue Salts in various combinations and 3 Tissue Salts especially for children.  We do not go past Silica no.12 as we follow the methodology set out by Dr Schuessler and the rest of the Tissue Salts listed in my mind are only prepared for practitioners in our lab.  We do not go beyond number 12 and you may wish to approach another company that makes the other minerals that were prepared after Dr Schuessler passed.
