My health trinity when I am run down begins with Tissue Salts
When I start to feel run down, I don’t wait for things to get worse—I go straight to what I think of as my “health trinity”: Ferr Phos, Ener-C, and Manuka honey. It’s a simple, natural routine that helps me support my body early, gently, and effectively.
Ferr Phos: the first responder
Ferr Phos (short for Ferrum Phosphoricum) is my go-to at the very first sign that something is off—fatigue, sore throat, or that subtle “coming down with something” feeling. Ferr Phos is known as First Aid in the Tissue Salt family and it’s often associated with supporting oxygen transport and reducing early-stage inflammation. What I like most is how quickly it acts - after a few hours I am back to feeling myself. It doesn’t overwhelm the system but instead supports the body’s cells back to balance.
Ener-C: daily vitamin C support
Next comes Ener-C — a refreshing way to give the body 1,000mg of vitamin C when I’m feeling run down or needing extra support. Vitamin C helps support immune health, collagen formation, and antioxidant protection, which is why I like having it as part of my daily health rhythm. It feels simple, supportive, and easy for the body to receive.
Manuka honey: nature’s soother
Finally, Manuka honey is my comfort and my shield. Known for its antibacterial properties, it’s especially helpful for soothing sore throats and supporting immune health and not to forget gut health. A spoonful on its own or stirred into warm (not hot) water feels both medicinal and nurturing. It’s one of those remedies that works and feels good at the same time.
Why this combination works for me
What I appreciate about this trio is how it covers multiple angles without being complicated. Ferr Phos steps in early, Ener-C nourishes and strengthens, and Manuka honey soothes and protects. Together, they create a simple ritual that encourages me to slow down and take care of myself before things escalate.
My tip when embracing my trinity
Adding to my rest, hydration and good nutrition I make sure to chew 1 Ferr Phos every 30 minutes for up to 6 doses then every 2 hours until back to myself. I then keep chewing Ferr Phos 4 times per day for a good month. Same with the green vitamin C I take 2 capsules 3 x per day until I am back to myself and a teaspoon of Manuka honey morning and night…
This is my secret to stay alert, energised with boosted immunity even when compromised…I always stop any viral loading in its tracks.
There is always plenty of the above in my First Aid Cabinet for those unexpected days…I need to always stay well and keep sharing and how lucky am I to have a very effective trinity that always has my back.
