2021 International Women’s Day

2021 International Women’s Day

Being a woman is a gift and we need to embrace all that we are and know we are unique.  There is no other woman that has our internal and external signature.  Make this International Women’s Day a time to celebrate who you are with friends that uplift you.  A healthy lifestyle can help you thrive throughout your life..  Making healthy choices isn’t always easy, however if women start making themselves a priority they will be more likely to have the energy and calm to share their day everyday.  It’s normal for women to think of everyone else before they do something for themselves – once you start falling in love with yourself again your efforts will pay off in many ways, and even for the rest of your life.  Become an example for your friends and family by committing to the goddess that lives within.  It is your time to shine and how wonderful on the 8th of March we are reminded of the day all women around the world unite to remind everyone how far we have come.

Let me take you on a journey of good health and optimize your day that it delivers to you the joy of good health, energy, inspiration, improved sleep and patience.

Hormones – immunity – weight – anti- aging are all interwoven and do not work separately in the body.  Our hormones dictate and determine whether we as women can lose weight.  If our hormones are out of balance we crave more sugar, become irritable, find it difficult to switch off at night and gain weight.  The way we age and the state of our immunity is linked to our level of absorption at the cellular level.  The more we can absorb our nutrition the healthier we can be.  What is the use of following a healthy diet if we cannot absorb all the dense nutrition that lives on our plate.  By choosing healthy foods and supplements that are targeted for your mind, body and soul will pay huge dividends in the long run.  Remember what you do today will have an impact tomorrow, a month from now, a year, 5 years.  Each day we make choices that determine how we will look and feel each day.

Ask yourself what sort of year is 2021 going to be for me…it really is up to you.

Think before you eat

What do I eat daily – 12 months of Oatbran

Porridge isn’t the same – porridge is the whole grain while oat bran is just the bran of the oat – it keeps you fuller for longer

Oatbran is the outer part of the grain while oatmeal is the inner part of an oat groat.

Both contain beta glucans which contribute to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels, oat bran is generally more nutritious and is 50% higher source of fibre

Oatbran is the healthier choice as it contains more:

antioxidants, protein, iron, magnesium and zinc

I love DATES and they have assisted so many women who needed to balance their blood sugar…I never leave home without them…my daily snack

2 dates, 6-8 walnuts are always in my bag – benefits of eating dates

High in antioxidants, good for blood sugar, brain booster help maintain bone mass

High in fibre, natural sweetener – diabetics can eat dates and are able to get 10% of total calories from sugar on a regular basis..

I remind my friends who are diabetic that they can enjoy as many fruits as I enjoy

Fruits for diabetics – apples, avocados, bananas, berries, cherries, grapefruit if not on medication, grapes, kiwi fruit…

Walnuts – rich in omega 3, reduce inflammation, promote a healthy gut, supports weight control, lower blood pressure and good for type 2 diabetics

Eating a fresh salad during Summer and soup during winter has always been a key message from me…

I love eating celery as it reduces water retention, gout, inflammation, blood pressure, muscle spasms, joint pain colds and flu

Benefits digestive tract, eyes, skin, bowel

I love eating Carrots as they promote Promote eye health, enhance hair growth, promote healthy skin, regulate blood pressure, aid diabetes treatment, boost immunity, strengthen bones, support weight loss, lower cholesterol, good for teeth and gums, promote liver health,

Let a nourishing diet uplift your mind and body.
